TWO YEAR OLD PROGRAM

Hours available: 2 or 3 days a week for 3 hours per day with an optional extended day available
NOTE: To qualify, child must be 2 by September 1st

.Our world of “2’s” is a fun filled, relaxed loving environment where these children are supported with warm loving teachers who provide manageable challenges and experiences designed for them as individuals. Teachers intentionally design learning centers that allow 2 year old children choice and self directed play in small groups with supportive guidance that prepares them for future social, emotional, academic and physical excellence! Music enrichment once a week provides our two year old children with the opportunity to watch listen and experience a rich variety of music and instruments.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: for the 2 year old class:

  • To separate successfully from parent
  • To participate in learning center activities and circle times that include music, stories and other engaging experiences
  • To support each child as they gain mastery of the routine and environment
  • To assist each child as they acquire independence and confidence in their actions, feelings and behaviors as they build friendships with peers
  • To expose each child to pre academic activities
  • Through musical experience each begin the journey toward basic music competence; the ability to sing in tune and keep a beat
  • To engage in large and small motor activities
  • Potty Train when appropriate
